Going to a football game? Buy a bag of warm peanuts in the shell and forget about the popcorn and hot dogs. The peanuts roasted in the shells are fun to crack and eat even if they are a little messy.

Peppers and spices

Hot chili peppers, ginger root and other spices stimulate the metabolism and burn fat. Garlic does as well. These condiments are used in cooking and they can be part of low calorie, high protein meals. (Introduce them slowly if you have a sensitive stomach.)

Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and blackberries are also fat burners. Enjoy them raw for the best results. You can buy frozen berries in the winter that can be thawed and mixed with plain yogurt.

Yogurt and low-fat dairy products also help to burn fat. You avoid the sugar in most popular yogurt brands when you mix fresh or thawed berries with plain low-fat yogurt.

Eggs and Lean Meat

Eggs are almost pure protein. Lean meat and cold water fish such as salmon and cod are high in Omega-3 fatty acids that stimulate the metabolism. Add them along with vegetables to a balanced diet for healthy eating.
